Winter Wedding

Here is kind of a funky photo of a cake top that we did this week.
The birds remind me of the cardinals I used to spot in the bare branches of our
shrubs during the winters that we lived in Massachusetts--good times.

The bride wasn't too attached to the holiday decor at the Market Street Grill
where she held the wedding brunch so the cake top was the only red and green
element we provided for the wedding.
Coming up: photos of the luscious bouquets.

A Wedding in Blue and White

I didn't have the pleasure of meeting Summur in person until her wedding day, so I was a little nervous that I wouldn't be able to find her wedding party at the Bountiful temple.

Fortunately, the groomsmen were easy to pick from the crowd with
their beautiful, royal blue ties.

The bouquets await the bride and her bridesmaids.

As you can see, Summur is part of a stunning family.
Just look at those sisters and cute little nieces of hers.

Summur's beautiful bouquet with Tibet roses, white spray roses and
royal blue delphinium...Perfect!

Winter Formal

Okay, so maybe we haven't gotten this whole school dance thing figured out.  We've been operating on the assumption that girls would prefer a bouquet to a corsage--I know I would.  However, it seems that the corsage is enjoying a revival amongst the young and style savvy.   Too bad we didn't get the memo before this dance.

I still think I'd go for the bouquet--especially if it looked like this!

A Festive Entrance

We used this simple arrangement for a church function.

Now it's dressing up our basement entry!

Love the reflections off of the silver ball ornaments.

Decorative kale provides a nice base for the bronze urn.
